Try folklorico on us.
The hardest part of any dance class is walking in the door — so we make it easy. Every new dancer's first 4 sessions are completely free. Come see how a practice feels, meet the group, and decide if it's for you. No costume, no commitment, no experience required.
Folklorico is more than exercise. It's the music your family grew up with, the stories of Mexico's regions told through movement, and a community that spans generations — kids, parents, and grandparents dancing side by side. Many of our dancers came in never having danced a step; today they perform on stages across Southern California.
Real technique, real traditions — at your pace.
- Zapateado & footwork — the rhythmic stomping at the heart of folklorico, built up step by step from your very first class.
- Faldeo & skirt work — the sweeping skirt technique that makes the ribboned dresses of Jalisco come alive.
- Dances from across Mexico — traditional choreography from Jalisco, Veracruz, Sinaloa, Baja, Chiapas, and more, along with the culture behind each region.
- Confidence & community — rhythm, posture, and stage presence in a welcoming group where every generation dances together.
- Performance opportunities — dancers who want the stage can perform with us at fairs, festivals, and community celebrations across Southern California.
