About Us
More than a dance group.
Ballet Folklórico Mi Herencia is a community-based Mexican folk dance group made up of dancers of all ages — from age 6 through adults. Some of us have been performing for years. Others are just learning their first steps. Everyone has a place here.
We've performed at county fairs, corporate events, weddings, quinceañeras, theme parks, media events, and school assemblies across Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Valley, the Inland Empire, and Orange County. We travel throughout Southern California — no stage is too big, no event too small.

A family tradition.
Founded and led by husband-and-wife managers Jorge & Francisca Diaz and instructors Angel and Mayra Ramirez, Mi Herencia is a true family affair. Jorge announces each performance, while Francisca works behind the scenes ensuring every costume fits just right. Angel & Mayra’s three children — Tatiana, Natalia, and Sebastian — dance right alongside the rest of the group, celebrating the beauty of Mexican culture one zapateado at a time.
